Joseph H. Brensinger School engages students in real-world challenges through its service learning program, allowing them to live out their civic-mindedness. Joseph H. Brensinger School are encouraged to “put their talents, interests and all other good intentions for the benefit of society into action.”As part of its civic-minded service program, the school has hosted a book drive in which students collected books to donate in the name of Joseph H. Brensinger School. The school also participated in community-wide art projects such as making thematic markers for day camps or designing a mural on a parking lot. The high school took part in providing meals at local soup kitchens. In addition, they worked side by side with adults who were reentering society after prison through an after-school program
