Anthony Lucas Park

Local political leaders dedicated a newly renovated park in Paterson’s Riverside neighborhood on Wednesday morning. It’s a sign that the city’s political leaders will put aside their differences to get the community what it needs.

The newly restored Anthony Lucas Park was initially slated to be demolished but has been redesigned, rebuilt, and renamed. A federal Community Development Block Grant funds the project, including a playground, fence, benches, and landscaping.

There’s a lot of history at Anthony Lucas Park in the City of Hawthorne. The park is on Johnson Lake and features a boat ramp, fishing dock, pavilions, picnic tables, and public restrooms. There is also a playground with ADA-compliant swings.

You can check out the Hawthorne Museum to learn more about the area. This park offers a variety of exhibitions that explore the history of the region and the people who have lived here.

Another great place to visit in the area is the New Jersey State Museum. This museum showcases the state’s history from pre-historic times to the Revolutionary War, and many exhibits can help you understand what it means to be a New Jersey resident.

Often overlooked in the shadow of its flashier neighbor, New York, New Jersey has many top-notch attractions. From the Statue of Liberty to Ellis Island, Jersey City’s waterfront, to the beaches along the Atlantic coast, there are many things to see and do in this state.

A beautiful historic home occupying 5 1/2 acres of formal gardens, surrounded by woodlands and wetlands, is open to visitors for tours. The grounds are a wonderful place to relax, stroll or take in the beauty of nature.

The nursery features an extensive collection of plants, trees, and shrubs and a large outdoor garden. There are also several picnic areas and outdoor sculptures.

Boating, canoeing, crabbing, and fishing are offered here, as well as picnicking. An interpretive center also provides information on the Hudson River ecology.

Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal Museum and Liberty Science Center is also here. Access by ferry is available to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

The state park on Jersey City’s waterfront is a popular boating, canoeing, and crabbing destination. There are also playgrounds, tennis courts, and a public golf course. The park also has a boat harbor and horseshoe courts.

The Hawthorne Swimming Pool has a lighted lap pool and a baby pool. It also has men’s and women’s locker rooms, heated showers, and private changing rooms. The facility is accessible to people with disabilities.
